14 Days of Quarantine

In September 2020, in the midst of Covid-19 pandemic I travelled to Vancouver Island.

The border had been closed to most travelers but I was allowed in due to my relationship with my Canadian partner. I needed to quarantine for fourteen days. I brought fourteen kitchen cabinet doors, cracked dishes, broken tiles and adhesives. It was amusing to explain to the border agent the nature of this unusual cargo.

I recalled a book titled Love in the Time of Cholera.
