One Boy

In this piece there are broken elements of several people who are connected to one boy. The boy grew and is almost an adult. The boy is not well.

The black and white pieces are of the boy’s neighbors; the red from his mom’s red plate set; the bird images pieces from his aunt’s; the yellow ones from another family friend; and the mixed color ones are from another dear family friend who was very sad to see her lovely colorful handmade plate break. They are all part of the boy’s life and therefore part of the hope and the worry blanket that surrounds him. This piece offers two paths -- an organic and colorful path or a rugged and dull one. The bird mama is broken and vacillates between hope and worry.
